The purpose of this quantitative research study was to investigate whether vertical individualism (VI), vertical collectivism (VC), horizontal individualism (HI), and horizontal collectivism (HC) could predict organizational citizenship behavior directed at individuals (OCBI) or organizations (OCBO).
Organizational citizenship behavior individual and organizational citizenship behavior organization was measured independently by conducting two multiple regression analyses with four independent variables horizontal collectivism, vertical collectivism, horizontal individualism, and vertical individualism.
The multiple regression analyses indicated that vertical collectivism, horizontal collectivism, and vertical individualism (transformed) were significant positive predictors of organizational citizenship behavior individual in the sample.
